Trust is a huge part of any successful relationship and the counselling relationship is no different! Never thought I would need therapy, but probably none of us think that anyway. Not going to lie, I was looking for someone close to where I live so I wouldn’t have to travel, that’s how I found Cherise. I was nervous coming to my first appointment, but she reassured me and put me at ease. Working with her so far has been amazing – she is very good at helping me identify my triggers and figuring out the ways I could try and change my reactions to certain things.
Cherise is very professional but also friendly and understanding – she listens to what I say and is always so helpful with her advice. I can definitely say the therapy is working – since starting I have made some changes to my life, and I do feel I can breathe a little easier. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a lot of hard work and I need to put a lot of effort in. It can be uncomfortable and emotional at times but the progress I have made is worth it!

After many years of struggling to cope with complex issues from childhood trauma to grief from losing loved ones, I found myself desperately needing help. Counselling was something I was sceptical about, opening up to someone I did not know. I had tried it before and struggled to develop a connection. From my first initial consultation Cherise put me at ease. I have struggled with anxiety for as long as I can remember and believed it was just who I was as a person and with Cherise’s help I now know this is not the case!
